About Project
The BIM for Mission Critical Project is one of our significant achievements, covering an area of 360,000 sq.ft. in Virginia, USA. This facility is designed as a 16 MW data center, supporting high-density workloads and continuous operations for data-driven organizations. Our objective was to build a highly reliable and secure environment that meets strict uptime, cooling, and power-redundancy standards. Using advanced BIM workflows, we created an accurate and fully coordinated model that captured all essential systems. The project was developed using Revit and Navisworks, ensuring a detailed digital representation of the entire infrastructure.
For this project, we implemented a structured BIM workflow that strengthened multi-discipline coordination, streamlined communication, and improved system-level technical decisions. With LOD 400, we modeled all architectural, structural, and MEP components with fabrication-level accuracy including power distribution networks, cooling systems, electrical rooms, ducts, pipes, conduits, and cable trays. BIM helped us clearly visualize how the 16 MW electrical infrastructure interacts with mechanical systems and redundant cooling paths. This high level of detail allowed us to detect clashes early, reduce installation issues, and enhance construction planning efficiency.
Our BIM services also included multi discipline coordination, constructability reviews, facility management support, and detailed 3D system views. We collaborated closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to ensure all technical requirements were met and updated throughout the project lifecycle. Continuous coordination and timely model updates supported faster approvals and accurate installation sequencing.
