Electrical BIM Services

Our Electrical BIM Modeling and Drawings include the details and information related to the installation of the electrical components and supply of the electricity on each floor and complete building. We streamline the work for our clients to make sure that they can easily understand the work and execute the project with ease and comfort.

Electrical BIM Modeling & coordination Services

At MaRS BIM Solutions, we provide precise and reliable Electrical BIM Modeling and Coordination services. We help electrical contractors, consultants, and engineers visualize complex electrical systems before construction begins. By converting 2D drawings into detailed 3D BIM models, we ensure that your electrical layout is accurate, constructible, and fully coordinated with other building trades.

Our team focuses on creating “digital twins” of your electrical infrastructure. This means we build a virtual version of your project that includes every conduit, cable tray, and lighting fixture. This process allows us to spot problems early, ensuring that the installation on-site is smooth and error-free.

We understand that electrical systems are the nervous system of any building. Our goal is to streamline your workflow using advanced BIM technology. Whether you need a model for a small commercial building or a complex industrial plant, we deliver high-quality digital construction data that saves you time and money.

Electrical BIM Modeling Services

We create data-rich 3D models that represent the actual physical components of your electrical system. We ensure the model follows specific Level of Development (LOD) standards, ranging from LOD 300 to LOD 400, depending on your project needs.
Electrical BIM Coordination

Electrical Coordination Services

Modeling is just the first step; making sure it fits is the second. Our coordination services focus on Clash Detection and resolution. We verify that your electrical components do not physically interfere with other building elements like structural beams or HVAC ducts.

Why Choose MaRS for Electrical BIM Modeling and Coordination?

MEP Electrical BIM services

Benefits of Electrical BIM Modeling

Being one of the leading BIM MEP service providers, we offer a wide range of MEP BIM modeling and drafting for electrical infrastructure that are best-suited within the industrial trades and codes.

What We Offer?

Electrical Equipment Modelling

Electrical Equipment Modelling

We create accurate 3D Revit models of all major electrical equipment including switchgear, distribution boards, MCCs, transformers, UPS units, panelboards, and bus ducts. Each component is modelled with precise manufacturer dimensions, connection points, and clearance zones to support coordinated construction documentation and fabrication-ready drawings.

Communication and Data Devices Modeling

Our team models low-voltage communication and data systems including data outlets, structured cabling pathways, network access points, telephone devices, intercom systems, and audio-visual equipment. All devices are placed as per design intent with associated conduit and cable tray routes, enabling coordinated ICT infrastructure planning across all disciplines.

Conduit Layout Modelling

Conduit Layout Modelling

We develop detailed conduit routing models covering EMT, IMC, RMC, and PVC conduit systems. Modelling includes precise conduit sizing, bending radii, pull boxes, junction boxes, fittings, and seals as per NEC and project specifications. Conduit pathways are spatially coordinated with structural, mechanical, and plumbing systems to eliminate on-site interference.

External Site Modelling

External Site Modelling

Our external site electrical models capture underground duct banks, site lighting poles and fixtures, overhead transmission lines, transformer pads, ground-mounted switchgear, earthing grids, and metering points. Models are referenced against civil and survey data to ensure accurate placement of utility connections, equipment pads, and site electrical infrastructure within the project boundary.

Hangers and Support Modelling

We model all electrical support systems including trapeze assemblies, unistrut frames, threaded rod hangers, beam clamps, wall brackets, and seismic bracing components. Support modelling is performed in accordance with load requirements and installation clearances, ensuring structural attachment points are coordinated with the building frame before fabrication and installation begin on site.

Cable Tray Modelling

Cable Tray Modelling

We model ladder-type, perforated, solid-bottom, and wire mesh cable tray systems including straight sections, elbows, tees, reducers, and covers. Cable tray routing is sized based on cable fill calculations and routed at correct elevations with proper bend radii and support spacing. All tray systems are modelled with associated earthing conductors and bonding jumpers as required.

Lighting Fixture Modelling

Our lighting models include recessed downlights, surface-mounted luminaires, linear LED fixtures, high-bay fittings, emergency egress lights, and exterior area lights. Each fixture is modelled with exact photometric data, mounting height, circuit number, and switching group information. Lighting models are integrated with reflected ceiling plans and coordinated with HVAC and sprinkler layouts overhead.

Fire Alarm System Modeling

Fire Alarm System Modeling

We model complete fire alarm systems including control panels, addressable smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, sounder bases, visual alarm devices, annunciator panels, and associated conduit and cable routing. All devices are placed as per NFPA 72 coverage requirements and coordinated with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to avoid obstructions and ensure code-compliant detector spacing.

Clash Detection and Reports

Using Navisworks and BIM 360 Clash Detective, we run hard clash, soft clash, and clearance clash tests across all electrical systems against architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines. Clash reports are generated with issue tracking, severity classification, and resolution status updates. We facilitate weekly clash coordination meetings and maintain a live clash register throughout the design and construction phase.

Electrical Coordination

Electrical Coordination

We manage full multi-discipline BIM coordination for electrical systems by working alongside structural, civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams. Using federated IFC and Revit models hosted on a Common Data Environment, we conduct regular coordination reviews, issue RFIs for design conflicts, update models to reflect approved resolutions, and ensure the electrical model remains construction-ready throughout all project phases.

Electrical Room Modeling

Electrical Room Modeling

We develop detailed 3D models of dedicated electrical rooms including switchrooms, generator rooms, UPS rooms, and LV and HV substations. All equipment layouts are modelled with NEC and IEC-compliant working clearances, cable entry points, and maintenance access zones, fully coordinated with architectural and structural models.
