The Mecklenburg Middle and High School Complex is located in Baskerville, Virginia. It is a modern two-story educational building designed to meet current learning needs. The total built-up area is 347,000 square feet. The design includes modern architectural features and flexible interior spaces. The building supports both classroom learning and extracurricular activities. It is built to promote technology-based education and host community events.
The school is in the center of Baskerville with easy access to nearby public facilities. It includes secured parking areas and landscaped outdoor zones. These spaces provide safe movement and encourage social interaction among students. The design focuses on inclusiveness, flexibility, and sustainability. It represents the new standard for educational buildings in southern Virginia.
Our team provided detailed LOD 400 MEP fabrication modeling and coordination services for this project. The work was completed using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks. We created a fully coordinated BIM model at LOD 400, showing fabrication-level detail for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The modeling covered an area of 7,040,556 square feet. The MEP design was aligned carefully with the architectural and structural models to maintain accuracy within design limits.
The main focus of our work was to solve MEP coordination issues. This included clash detection and system rerouting to improve constructability. The team used advanced BIM workflows and real-time collaboration to create precise shop drawings and models. These deliverables supported prefabrication and on-site installation. The result was reduced rework, better efficiency, and a strong digital model to guide construction activities.
